Our Story

Back in the 1980's, Janet Loveland and Sue Carr migrated from Louisiana and New York respectively to raise their families in the "coolest" neighborhood in LA. After several years of community involvement, each chose to build a career in real estate serving in the local neighborhood they knew and loved. Today, their 49+ years in the business almost equals their ages. Their daughters, Anne and Courtney, made the wise decision to join the "Family Business" in January 2005. Having literally "grown up" in the world of real estate, Anne Loveland and Courtney Carr-Macker have watched their mothers in action for decades, a fact which translates into a "leg up" on the competition among other new agents. Janet and Sue may have many years of experience, but the daughters have been paying attention and taking notes! Anne and Courtney bring their skills, energy, enthusiasm and love of their "home town" to the family business and to you!

Janet Loveland

Janet brings a wealth of experience to each new client having closed hundreds of transactions over the last 25 years. She has also gained valuable hands-on experience while restoring the six homes she's owned in the past twenty five years. Not only does she live to tell these stories with a healthy sense of humor, she has a long list of trusted service professionals that can help make your house a home. Janet's degree in home economics has greatly benefited her clients in all aspects of prepping, preparing and marketing a home. Her historical perspective of architecture coupled with her background as an interior designer make her an invaluable consultant in the "mental remodeling" that happens before a sale. Since Janet knows the intricacies of what it takes to remodel and properly maintain a home, her approach to pricing and promoting your house will be different and more thorough than the typical agent. Janet has been a resident of Windsor Square for 25 years. Her local community leadership and involvement remain strong. When she is not running 100 miles an hour, she can usually be found singing gospel tunes with her choir or cooking for the next broker's open house or party at her home.

Sue Carr

Sue brings her clients the knowledge and experience that can only result from hundreds of successful transactions over the last 23 years. She has represented one property either on the listing side or selling side eight times. A virtual computer unto herself, if you want to know who resided at a property, when they moved in, any remodeling they might have done, Sue likely has the answer. With this vast market knowledge, she has also built credibility with many of her industry colleagues. Sue often receives referrals from out-of-area agents due to her unparalleled understanding of Hancock Park and Windsor Square. She is also often given the "heads' up" when exclusive properties are going to be coming on the market. Her patience, humor and attention to detail in each transaction have created a great deal of comfort for her clients which have resulted in countless referrals from them. Most former clients have also become life long friends. Sue was born and raised in Scarsdale New York prior to moving to Los Angeles in 1982 and has been a proud resident of Windsor Square ever since. Her local community leadership and involvement remains active. Sue has been selected as a Mayoral Appointee to the Historical Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ) in Windsor Square. When she is not listing or showing properties she can be found spending time with family and friends and many clients as well!

Anne Loveland

Anne brings practical hands on business skills to the real estate industry. Her 10+ years of successes at Nestle and ConAgra Foods building $50-$300 million dollars sized brands through repositioning, new products, new distribution channels, staffing and targeted marketing combined with her entrepreneurial spirit translates into a business professional who can get things done for you. Anne was raised in Windsor Square and currently resides in The Miracle Mile. When she's not chasing down balls on the tennis court, she serves on the Melrose Hill Historical Preservation Overlay Zone Board and Young Literati Steering Committee. Anne holds an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at USC.

Courtney Carr-Macker

Courtney brings energy, enthusiasm and a youthful perspective to the table. Her personal style and hands on approach in working with clients allow her to quickly understand their needs and to serve their best interests over last 5 years. Courtney's other passion is cooking. If she's not out selling real estate, she's in the in the kitchen creating a culinary treat for a brokers open. Courtney can relate to the trepidation first-time buyers are feeling and assist in easing their fears being a new homeowner herself. She approaches all clients not simply from a real estate perspective, but a life perspective. Courtney doesn't just sell homes, she sells lifestyles by matching homes to personalities. She does not close transactions, she opens doors. Although buying your first home can be challenging, Courtney focuses on the excitement, thrill and joy you will feel owning a home of your own.

Eileen Fontana Watt

Eileen is the special bonus to you and all of us at the LC team. Previously in sales with Cadillac and a flight attendant with TWA, Eileen understands customer service and how to deliver it. She plays a key role in keeping our team coordinated, our office organized and our clients happy. Eileen is the point person for scheduling, showing appointments and inspections. As a licensed real estate professional, she can answer almost any question relating to our properties and each transaction while it is in progress. Eileen is a former resident of Los Feliz and stays informed of current inventory in the neighborhood each week during broker's open houses. She currently resides in Sherman Oaks and is the proud mother of Tessa who is pursuing a medical degree at Stanford University.

Tony Svoboda

Tony is our in house mortgage expert and a free resource available to you. He and his “Girl Friday” Lauda Flores are accessible 24/7.
